Audio Bible
The Bible reading in this podcast is done by David P. Field. I do not know Mr. Field other than from visiting his web site. I chose to use his rendition of the World English Bible for 2 reasons:
- He is English, and I enjoy his accent (I am Canadian)
- He reads more quickly than other audio Bibles I have found. This may take a bit of getting used to at first, but I find that his pace keeps me more engaged in the reading.
His reading is not perfect. He stumbles occasionally (though not very often really), and there may be some errors in his actual wording at times. That said, I appreciate the fact that this is not definitely a stuffy or sterile reading of the Bible. Again, I find that this helps me to pay more attention at times.
All that said, I had considered doing the reading myself for this podcast at one point, but after a few trials it proved to be a far greater task than I was prepared to undertake. So I thank David Field for the time and work he has put into making this audio Bible and making it available to others.
